Disasters and conflict devastate millions of lives each year in different parts of the world. Future natural disasters, environmental change, political instability and conflicts will only increase humanitarian needs. INTER-CEPT trains people interested in being available to assist after major disasters. The specific areas of focus are disaster preparedness, response coordination, and stakeholder collaboration (including the private sector).

In The Field 

Intercept prepare personnel for some of the challenges they may face on field assignments. Training covers the basics of emergency relief work, logistics, water, sanitation, shelter planning, health , security and communications.

The INTER-CEPT's training courses can be classified into 3 categories as follows : 

Regular/Long Distance Courses: INTER-CEPT conducts courses every year. These have been developed to improve the knowledge and skills of professionals on various aspects of disaster management in the light of regional disaster management needs.

Program Based Courses:  INTER-CEPT is involved in developing and institutionalizing courses under different programs at the national level in different countries with the collaboration of national level training organizations on specific aspects of disaster management.

Tailor-made Courses: INTER-CEPT is actively engaged in training tailored to suit the needs of particular groups of professionals to enhance their capabilities to meet the requirements of their programs. These courses are developed upon request from governments, international and UN agencies, NGOs and private sector. They focus on meeting the needs expressed by requesting agencies. These courses can be organized in any country in the world.

INTER-CEPT runs an extensive range of training courses for relief and development workers of all disciplines. The courses are widely recognized by international humanitarian aid agencies. Courses provide a wider perspective of complex world of humanitarian relief, preparedness and development. It helps in enhancing competencies, skills and perspective building, resulting in increased effectiveness & efficiency in emergency response.INTER-CEPT’s courses are carefully designed to meet the real needs of staff working in the field and behind the scenes at head office. We achieve this by making sure that our courses:
