Advanced Diploma in Project Management

The Advanced Professional Diploma in Project Management is an internationally recognized programme that is designed for those who are involved in, or aspiring to, project management at project manager or key specialist level, and who wish to be recognized as an expert in this field.

The programme is also an ideal preparation course for professional managers and specialists seeking to move on to a Masters Level qualification, in Project Management, Quality Management, or Strategic Management.

Accreditation Body

INTER-CEPT Diploma is recognized internationally and its qualifications are accepted by employers and higher education establishments throughout the world, and by professional associations such as the PMI and APM.

Entry Requirements

Students must:

  • be over 25 years of age
  • have at least 2 years of project team experience
  • Have at least 3 years of middle to senior management experience
  • Possess a recognized Management or Professional qualification

Or have experience of project management, and be

  • a middle or senior manager with over 5 years of experience, without any formal qualifications
  • an Owner Manager wishing to develop and grow their organization
  • a Consultant with corporate clients.

A course comprises 8 mandatory modules.

CEP901: Module 1: Advanced Professional Development

Assessing Needs and Planning Professional Development

CEP901: Module 2: Contarcts and Procurement for Projects

Political Influence and Conflict;
Tendering and Bidding Process;
Contract Details and Styles; Procurement Best Practice

CEP901: Module 3: Planning and Scheduling Project Activity

Planning Work Activity and Outcomes; Cost Accurately; Project Scheduling Techniques;
Activity Planning Methods; Resource Analysis and Planning; Network Node Exercise

CEP901: Module 4: Winnning Teams (focus on Project Teams)

Characteristics of Teams; Methods of Team Development; Monitoring and Evaluating Team Performance

CEP901: Module 5: Implementation, Monitoring and Control of Project Activity

Implementing the Plan;
Communication Tool and Techniques;
Monitoring Activity and Outcome Progress;
Controlling Costs; Change Management

CEP901: Module 6: Review and Evaluation of Project Performance

Review and Evaluation of Financial Criteria and
Non-Financial Criteria

CEP901: Module 7: Leadership (focus on Leading Projects)

The impact of different leadership attributes and skills on the project;
Current theories, models and principles of leadership;
Developing leadership skills for specific situations

CEP901: Module 8: Management Rsearch - Project and Presentation

Research project - Planning the development of a new product, service or process and presenting proposals

All 8 modules must be successfully completed to gain the award.

Assessment Requirements

  • Module 1 - Personal Development Activities
  • Modules 2 to 7 - One Research or Work-based Assignment
  • Modules 8 - Research Project and Presentation
  • Professional Development activities maintained throughout the course

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments.

Course Fee : $ 1850 (for the entire course). The fee can be paid in full or per semester in 3 installments.


Course Duration : Minimum Duration: 1 Year. Maximum Duration: 2Years

Course Intake : January, March, July and September
